when trying to play a tab you hold your finger, if there is a number higher then 0 on it, on the fret that it represents, so from th ehead the first one is 1 and so on.


sheet music can either look like what i showed you or like a small square with lines and numbers, normally that is a chord, which is played by strumming more then one string. If you're good at guitar hero you will not be good on the guitar, they are two WAY different kinds of technique. good luck
