i'm really confused on how to play it, please helllpp!How do you read a ';lead sheet'; for a guitar?
Simply use the basic chords of D, G, and Cadd9 until you decide to use other chords up and down the fretboard.

How much experience do you have?. It's just showing you one possible chord pattern in that particular key. Listen to the song first, then strum the chords.
