The teach-yourself method isn't working too well for me, so I'm trying to find online tutorials walking me through my favorite songs. The problem is, they all require a payment of some kind. Same with sheet music. All I'm really looking for are tutorials walking you through Green Day songs.

Learn to read tablature. www.ultimate-guitar.com has quite a few tabs and will probably have Green Days entire discography do to their popularity.
yep a previous responder is correct..ultimate guitar.com is a good tab site..but actually try typing in guitar lessons on you tube and see what you get..you might be suprised
